Chicago is an exceptional location for the Congress. It is renowned as one of the world’s outstanding convention cities, with the sparkling Michigan Lake and towering Chicago Skyline providing a unique and spectacular setting. The 28 WCE will be held at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers, a stunning, award-winning facility perched on the edge of the Chicago River with wonderful space for both scientific presentations and commercial exhibition.
Sheraton Chicago boasts the largest hotel ballroom in the Midwest at 40,000 sq. ft., divisible into ten separate sections with an adjacent 13,000 sq. ft. Ballroom Promenade. Meeting facilities include 34 flexible breakout rooms, two executive boardrooms and a separate convention registration area. For executive meetings they feature the newly enhanced Sheraton Executive Conference Center which includes 6 meeting rooms decorated with rich wood, contemporary carpet and wall coverings.
These rooms also boast the latest in technology and offer plasma screens, sophisticated audio visual and executive chairs. Four-above-ground stackable levels of meeting space alleviate heavy traffic patterns and eliminate unnecessary congestion. All meeting rooms are equipped with the finest technology capabilities, from lighting to sound.
The newly carpeted 35,000 sq. ft. River Exhibition Hall provides a variety of venues for tradeshows and can be divided into two separate rooms. Eight loading docks with direct access from the street to the hall ensure safe and convenient delivery of equipment.
